FCC Vacates SDV Rulings Against Time Warner Cable, Cox

So much for consumers winning one against the big cable co’s. Switched digital is nothing but bad news, and shame on them being allowed to roll it out so soon before anyone was prepared for it. I know of a handful of Cable Card Media Center users who now have a useless box for TV since the adapters aren’t ready yet.

"It also can serve the public interest by allowing cable operators to comply with the Commission’s ‘viewability’ rules and deliver more programming options, including HD channels and niche programming, without displacing significant numbers of existing channels."
