The Scorpio Blue drives feature WhisperDrive, a technology that makes it one of the quietest 2.5 inch drives on the market. The drive also features ShockGuard which combines firmware and hardware technology to allow the drive to tolerate unexpected shocks and Secure Park which parks the recording heads off the disk surface during spin up and down. This ensures that the heads never touch the disk and in theory gives the drive a longer life span.
