October 13th Blu-ray Releases

I’ll keep this intro short and sweet since I really just want to get onto the Pick of the Week. Nothing else really stands out to me as a must see, but some decent refreshes like South Park’s Bigger, Longer & Uncut finally making its way to Blu-ray. Land of the Lost, with Will Ferrel also sees its release pretty soon after being in theaters, but I hadn’t heard much positive of it and have not yet watched it (not sure I will).

MissingRemote’s Pick of the Week

Drag Me to Hell Easy choice this week as we finally get the acclaimed movie from director Sam Raimi–from the Evil Dead/Army of Darkness classics. This new movie was worth the wait, and brings with it the same quirky humor and characters along with the horror and thriller aspects which made his previous trilogy a cult classic. The basic plot of this is a loan officer refuses to extend a loan on an old lady’s house and then has a curse placed upon her. That’s all I’ll say as I don’t want to give it away, but it was very enjoyable.
