I’ve often said I have no idea why Microsoft dropped their Remote Record application, but luckily the community is here to help! TDL An app I have been remiss in talking about is Remote Potato, its a remote record tool much like Webguide that enables you to schedule recordings via a web ui. With the changes to Windows 7 breaking Webguide remote access to the EPG has been missing from Windows Media Center and this is where Remote Potato comes in. It’s compatible with Windows 7 and has a full web based UI that will work over the internet, the app uses a tool to export the EPG data in to a compatible format and has its own web server built in.
