Charlie Sheen Replaced by Ashton Kutcher

I absolutely did not see this one coming.  I’m a fan of Two and a Half Men, but Kutcher never even crossed my mind as the replacement for Charlie Sheen.  To be fair, they aren’t recasting Charlie Harper, rather they’re introducing a new character to be played by Kutcher.  I was never a fan of anything he did, especially That ’70s Show.

The sources said that the actor is currently putting the final touches on his deal to join the hit sitcom, and will reportedly get a “huge payday.” Kutcher has not confirmed the news, but tweeted on Thursday, “What’s the square root of 6.25?” The answer? Yup, 2.5.

I’m torn.  What do you think?  Smart move?  Tragic mistake?

    you knew Chuck Lorre wasn’t going to bring back Sheen after his rant on him. I say kudos for not caving into Sheen, but man…Kutcher??? I was never a 70’s show fan, don’t see myself suddenly liking his acting :-/

    Well, in my opinion (as an editor on Missing Remote Tongue out ), Home Theater PC’s are frequently used to watch television, as can be seen by our coverage of the 2011 TV Guide Listings, as well as my own reviews of the Camelot and Game of Thrones series’, combined with our coverage of other site’s TV Premieres, Finales, and Specials, along with Network TV Renewals and Cancellations.  I’m a fan of Two and a Half Men, so the change in casting was of interest to me and, apparently, to at least some visitors to the site.  Wink

    I guess all the money I spent making my HTPC warlock and tiger blood compatible is now down the drain.  Oh well, at least my copy of ‘Windows 7 Winning Edition’ runs smoothly.

    Now that I think about it, maybe they’ll pull it off.  Cheers got better after Shelley Long left, so I suppose anything is possible.
