Well what an interesting way to start the week off. EngadgetHD shares word that the long awaited SiliconDust PRIME CableCARD tuner has passed Cable Labs certification and has started taking preorders. This supports three CableCARD HD streams. No word on when you might see these, so get in line accordingly.

According to the article or at least the way I read it was that we would see a six tuner version first. I hope this isn’t a teaser to get us to wait it out longer.
?, I didn’t think you could have more than 4 tuners per cable card. Would this box require 2 cards?
And I also signed up at the SD site for updates. I would hope they would give us info first on where to preorder the tuner ahead of time.
