Netflix Update Now on All Andriod 2.2 and 2.3 Devices
Netflix recently updated its Android app to support all 2.2 (Froyo) and 2.3 (Gingerbread) devices. In the past only specific devices were supported by Netflix. Now if you have any Android phone sporting 2.2 or 2.3 you will be able to live stream any of your Netflix content.
Premium video streaming service Netflix updated its Android application recently with support for all devices running version 2.2 (Froyo) or version 2.3 (Gingerbread) of the mobile operating system.
It’s a significant update because the app now works on the majority of all Android devices — a sharp contrast to the mere five devices the Netflix app was available when it first launched in May.
Sadly, devices with the latest version of Android (Honeycomb), for now, won’t gain access to the Netflix app at this time. This might be because of the low adoption rate of devices using Honeycomb. According to Google, over 80 percent of devices are running either Froyo or Gingerbread on their devices.
