CES 2018 – HiberSense connected climate control system

Smart vent systems are a tricky thing to get right. Too little modulation and they aren’t terribly useful, too much and you risk breaking the HVAC. HiberSense connected climate control system claims to strike the right balance. Energy efficient comfort control that is also sensitive to the lifespan of your furnace and air conditioner.

HiberSense works by replacing the vents and putting comfort sensors (temperature, motion, humidity, light, etc) in each of the rooms of your home. Pairing each of these with the hub via Bluetooth (an odd choice given range considerations), some clever analytics and duct pressure/airflow monitors, and we should get a system that provides greater comfort and reduces energy consumption.
