Emporia Accidentally Outs Vue 3 Energy Monitor

I almost feel bad for the team at Emporia, but obviously not enough to keep quiet on this. Mostly because there’s no point, I received two copies of this email sent to two different email addresses, so my guess is that everyone who has ever contacted them also got the super secret news that there’s a new version of the Vue Energy Monitor coming.

I think this is great news. Who doesn’t like a solid energy monitor. I use an IOTAWatt to do this, but I took a hard look at the Vue 2 before grabbing one of those.

The unfortunately bit here is that if you are in the market for an energy monitor today, it means that the top pick has a good chance of being yesterday’s tech tomorrow. It will be interesting to see what they do with it. Hopefully more ports, and a faster processor.

Update: In the first version of this post, I totally brain farted and forgot that the Vue is an energy monitor, not an EVSE 🤦.
