Having spent a couple days with the new Apple TV I figured it would be great to share some of the finer, and not so fine, points of the user experience. While I could write it up, a video seemed like a much better idea. Enjoy!

How is the quality of the rented video in 1080p? I always felt that the AppleTV had some of the best looking 720p content so how does the 1080p streams look compared to other services like Vudu?

I haven’t had a chance to rent an iTunes movie yet. Definitely on the list of things to test, just haven’t had time – getting ready to move in a couple days 🙂
FWIW, Ars did a comparison and it looks like there are some compression artifacts not present in BD so I’m not expecting perfection.
