Yahoo Sales of plasma display panels, or PDPs, have failed to keep pace with those of liquid crystal displays, a market research firm said. Display manufacturers such as Samsung are developing new display products using the Genesis Microchip DisplayPort receiver. Samsung plans to release a 30” LCD display with 2560 x 1600 resolution and 10 bits of color depth next year.

Low-low price on 52" 1080p LCD from Vizio… Digitimes A 52-inch Vizio-branded full-HD LCD TV is expected to hit the North America market in August with the panels sourced from LG.Philips LCD, according to sources. The price tag for the new model will be US$2,200 and the TV will first be available in Costco, added the sources.
